Tracey Hicks, BA

With over 40 years of experience working alongside families, Tracey brings deep expertise and a passionate commitment to helping both adults and young people live free from harm. Her work focuses on building resilience, promoting well-being, and supporting individuals to reach their full potential.

Since beginning her career in 1992 with Norwich Rape Crisis, Tracey has supported families affected by various forms of abuse—working with both survivors and, at times, those who have caused harm. Her practice is grounded in compassion, insight, and a strong belief in the capacity for change.

For more than 25 years, Tracey has also served as a national trainer, designing and delivering professional development programs for both statutory and voluntary sector professionals. Her recent work includes leading a project to develop and deliver evidence-based training for practitioners, including an intensive five-day "Working with Parents" programme created for Beijing University.

Safeguarding remains central to all of Tracey's work. She supports professionals to align practice with evidence-based strategies, encouraging reflective practice to enhance service delivery, prevent practitioner burnout, and adapt to the evolving challenges of today’s world.

Tracey is particularly passionate about improving the mental health and resilience of professionals and the young people they support. Her work brings together parents, teachers, police officers, support workers, and advocates—and can be tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of organisations.
